L: Lurved laying low this past weekend. We actually had to get up and walk the dogs to avoid the stiffness associated with being sedentary for too long. Why can't this area of giftedness be celebrated??? ;) We recovered, now that everyone is officially out of school, and just let Father's Day weekend be family rest and rejuv. Of course now there IS laundry. Big time.
A: After my morning run/walk, I was still able to walk, so I'm terribly glad about that. It still does not feel right or normal when I run, but I'm only 3 weeks into it. And we're extending time and distance every day. I'm sure it will seem enjoyable soon. :)
D: Delighted for a PT eval and hopeful to get a home treatment plan for hip pain. Been waking up in the middle of the night feeling it, so I'll be happy to git er stretched out. Poor J. She can't escape me--now we're BOTH doing PT like best friends. Together.
I: I cannot tell you how much I wished China was closer to home, but how awfully glad I've been to have Big home for over a month. Will miss him dearly, as I always do, but he works so hard, and I'm beyond grateful that he has a job he enjoys.
T: Telling my self that it's time to shut the bag of chocolate chips and to be grateful to God for "a way out" of temptation w/o representation. Glad He's here to help me.
U: U might not believe this, but I'm totally glad for summer. Yeah, I'll be kicking my kids off the TV and computer more often than I'd like
D: Desperately in need of new summer fun clothes, but determined to be grateful for what I have today and to not deride myself for my size or weight. My body works. It can push itself away from the chocolate chips. It's learning to run. It's quite cuddlyable, as well.
E: Entirely glad that this post is finished because it was harder to do than I thought. :) Equally important, though, is an effervescent gladness re: starting a new book to read. Giddy, I am. It's called Fire and Ice, by Julie Garwood. Nothing hard about this book. Just fun.

GREAT post! You're so cheerful and thankful for (just about) everything life sends your way, lol. I love that about you!
Enjoy your summer and time with your kids. I'm ALMOST ready to send Jayla back to school (where she wants to be anyway!) And she's only been out of school for 3 weeks! LOL...this kid has become very high maintenance :-).
Love ya!
"D" really resonated with me today! I've been putting it off until I "lost a few more pounds," but I'm beginning to think that I may never get new clothes if I hold to that...but trying to be Gladdy McGlad for what I do have!
We have VBS this week too!
Enjoy VBS! Always fun!
Tell me when you start to enjoy the running and how long it took you. I am so not athletic, but need to get in shape, but the thought of exercise of any kind... I'm proud of you.
Nice post sweetie.
You're doing Couch to 5K, right? I just read about that online. (Talk about baby steps. I can count reading about it online as a baby step, right?)
I hate we're going to miss out on VBS everywhere this year. They're having it before we get down South and after we leave the Northeast. I don't think they're intentionally waiting until we leave or having it before we get there. That's just the way things worked out this time.
So sorry about your hip! Hope the PT can help. Sorry you'll be without Big. Please control your QVC viewing during this time.
I love your Gladitudes. They always help me to refocus any stray thoughts. Thank you.
I always read your Gladitude Mondays and enjoy them bunches. I need them, really, to remind myself of the things I should be grateful for.
I appreciated your run/walk item today because I have been there, and am still there, really. GOOD FOR YOU!!!
Love this spin on Gladitudes!!!
I'm beginning to get a little nervous. EVERYONE in our blogosphere is speaking of books and all their summer reads...and at this moment I have NADA on the ole' night stand. Send me your bookey mojo...I'm in desperate need.
I heart ya, Jewels. And, as always, I'm gladdie mcgladacious for you.
Look at you and your creative use of the acrostic!
And i am glad that someone else uses the word "chillax"
You're so creative, Jewels! I think you get that from me... ;)
Love always love, reading the "glads"...
We're enjoying summer, too, come radiation or high water!!! :)
Lurve you!
Boo for hip pain, but YAY for PT's. We love them around our house.
