The First Step Is In Admitting It...

I think I have a problem. I've seen this movie 4 times now, and it's becoming my new "Love Actually", "Notting Hill", "A Few Good Men","Steel Magnolias", and "A Charlie Brown Christmas". The aforementioned shows are beloved to the point of near obsession and annoying recitation. My kids are mercilessly telling me to stop reciting lines, and to refrain from showing excitement before certain scenes. Whatev.

Live long and prosper, baby.

I'm going to have to put this on my Netflix list...I may or may not have a schoolgirl crush on Spock.

Have not seen this, but I should. My step brother was obsessed with the show growing up, so I kinda got turned off of anything relating to it.
I LOVE reciting scenes from my fav. movies, my kids usually play along until I get way too into it....

Haven't seen this or "Love Actually." I would like to see "Love Actually." Star Trek? I don't know, Gretchen. Really? I mean, I'd watch it on your recommendation, but, sigh, don't hate me...I never was really much of a Star Trek fan.

Haven't seen it, but the hubby got it for Christmas. Does it make you feel better is I say my daughter LOVES this movie and has watched it 3 or four times since Christmas?! :)

Howdy,
To be fair, I don't really recommend this movie as highly if you're not a Star Trek fan to some degree. It's certainly a lovely action pic on its own. However, part of the beauty of this movie is the way it seamlessly blends the TV shows and the previous movies together. The casting for this new look at the old is spot-on, as well.

Also, for full disclosure, "Love Actually" is definitely for adults only, because it is R, but such a fun movie.

Oh, man...now I'm going to have to see what all the fuss is about. And this after being completely anti-Star Trek since my dad made us sit through episode after episode, lol.

I'm partial to Captain Kirk.

And he's mighty fine in this new movie. Mighty fine.

I have watched it I don't know how many times. And I can keep on watching it over and over. I just don't get tired of it! I love sci-fi and action. Totally not your typical girl here.
