Gladitude

The day is already getting away from me, but it's so important to start off my week on a glad note that I need to write these gladdy mcgladitudes post haste!

10. Glad to be back from vaca and sleeping in my own bed. Though it's in need of some WD-40, my bed is so comfy and comforting. Plus, I get to see all my DVRd shows from there.

9. Glad for the aforementioned vaca. Not only was it nice to see our dear friends in a lovely part of the country, but I so enjoyed having my husband off work. He's definitely flexible with his time when he can be, but to have him lay down his work for a week was a true blessing. And yes, thank You, God that he has a job.

8. Glad that my dtr is off having the time of her life at Bible camp this week. The youngster in me envies her getting to go and do all these nifty things with such loving, Jesus-in-skin folks. You could all pray that she uses her sunscreen, as she's pink (we tried!) from our trip last week, and it's going to be hot and dry this week. 90s! For western WA, that's beyond hot.

7. Glad for this delicious cuppa morning coffee.

6. Glad for my friend Jean and Tattoo Theology.

5. Glad for Twitter and the ability to pray, share, and laugh together over the miles--instantly.

4. Glad I didn't hate my run jog walk/jog work out today. Actually, after a 2 week hiatus, it felt--dare I say--almost good. Well, it didn't hurt, anyway. Baby steps. So thankful I have a partner in crime, for she is so motivational for me to get out there.

3. Gladdy mcgladaciously glad that I got to meet Becky IRL!!!! God is so merciful in her b/c she waited over an hour for me as I made my way from southern Olympia, where I dropped off my camper girl, to Tacoma, where I got lost, but eventually found her. There was a complete and utter traffic jam in the 30 miles between Tacoma and Olympia, but it was so forgotten the second I got to meet her and chat with her. She has been visiting family in this area, and we weren't sure a MIRL would be possible, given our trip to MT, etc. But...it worked out. Picture is forthcoming. I didn't like how the one on Apple accentuated my multiple chins, and she has some cute shots on her camera, so I'll be vain and wait. We sat in the Borders cafe for over 2 hours, but the time just flew. Soooo grateful and glad the Lord helped us get together. What a lurvely lady. Hugs, hugs, hugs, Becky!

2. Glad to be back in the swing of a semi routine this week. I don't need the full blown madness of school and activities and drama right now, but a scant schedule is kinda nice. We anxiety prone folk like a little predictability to our lives. ;) Time to plan my dinner menu. Wow. That's actually a comforting thought.

1. Glad for all this warm weather, and am praying that it still be warm and beautiful and that WA continue to show her best face forward for any visitors which may come see me in August. Like in 10 days. Guess it's too late for liposuction and botox. I do have to mention that I am bigger than the image you see on your screen. :0)
